So a mate is wanting to get some solar panels installed and I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for people who're able to install them and provide the proper MCS certification.

He's got five of AC-250M/156-60S panels that are on this page. The panels are second hand but unused.

The panels will be sited about 14m from the house although the trench will take a less direct route and will be 18/20m long.

He's really just looking for the connection to be made as he'll be laying the cable himself.

So he need the 5 panels connecting, a suitable inverter supplied and installed, a generation meter supplied and installed. Plus the MCS certification.

Is anyone on here able to do this or knows someone who can?

Also, any general hints/tips/advice about choosing someone to do the work or anything else in general about home solar panel installations?

Thank you please. Thumbs Up

Possibly a local electrician can do this, If not contact the energy board should be an engineer that can do this.

Also contact companies that install SP, see if they can just do the initial wire up to the household & what the costs are.

Check out the "green" forums, they usually have good information about this kind of stuff :

Well yes, basically I'm asking if anyone is an electrician who can do this or knows an electrician who can do this. He's got quotes from various local electricians and before going with one of them I'm just seeing if there's anyone on BCF who can do this at a competitive price. Mr. Green

My mate does this:

https://www.solarpaul.com

All his details are on the site, a little out of his area (I think) but he'll probably be able to help.

Hello,

When the engine is off and the panel is charging, can I use electrical devices (eg. stereo) at the same time?
