A new bike was not on my radar, however a 2012 Tuono V4 APRC came up for sale on a local forum at a price that was hard to ignore (try as I did). I've always wanted one, so I spoke to the seller who suggested I have a look. Then I did part with money. Oops.

I'm unsure how I feel. I'm worried it'll be far too much for the road and it's probably not going to be cheap to look after. It was a bit of a 'do now, think later' type scenario, which is out of character.

Anyway. I get it tomorrow. A couple of pics from the previous owner;

Lovely machine. I'm not one for power monsters generally but I loved the Tuono I had a go of (the older twin model).

Thanks, all Thumbs Up . The modifications list is absolutely outrageous. The previous owner and one of his friends (local Aprilia specialist mechanic) have done all of the modifications and servicing between them. It's somewhat reassuring to know there's a mechanic in the local area who knows Aprilias, and this particular bike, very well. My wallet is quivering...

Yolo, and perhaps only for a short time on board a Tuono!

If anyone is interested and wants for some reading, I'll copy the spec sheet in Laughing

Collected it this evening in the end. It's brutally powerful, it'll take some getting used to... It's very, very loud but sounds excellent. It's got more torque than any mortal would surely know what to do with. It steers significantly slower than the Street Triple and requires much more positive an input and a bit of muscling around to make it tip in. 8 miles under my belt, I'll do a bit of a write up after I've been for a proper hoon.

Thanks, man! I'm fair chuffed. The previous owner advised not to throw petrol on the fire until I've a few miles under my belt, rather poke it with a long stick from far away Laughing . I'm a bit scared.

Drop the yokes a bit for a quicker turn in? RSVR.net is a great forum for these. I had the older twin model and decent tyres and suspension setup was a must - the previous owner turned all suspension knobs up to 11 on mine and it took some fettling to get it feeling right.

It sounded like war and went like poop off a hot chrome shovel though, so yours must be an absolute weapon & looks perfect. Enjoy!
