My Sony SBH20 got wet a while ago and doesn't really work now.

Any suggestion for alternatives?

NFC would be nice.
Ideally I'd also like one that can use the inbuilt microphone on headphones with them, but I think most use their own internal ones.

Maybe there is still moisture inside. Put it in a bowl of rice for a few days. The rice should pull any moisture out of it.

This was months ago - I suspect the battery is dead, but you can get other solutions new for not much more than the cost of a replacement battery.

Not helpful in the slightest but I never understood why the SBH20 had NFC, once you pair it to your phone it just connects automatically anyway, never any need to use NFC

I will often be listening to something in the car (on a set of speakers with NFC as it goes), then switch to headphones when going into shops etc and back to speakers again after.

Ok, only save 10 seconds each time.
