Oxford boss disc lock

Just bought a boss disc lock I know there will be some howls of despair etc as it's an Oxford but it came with a bracket to mount on bike
Any idea where it goes on a Yamaha xj6n

Sell lock,
buy huge bar of chocolate,
melt chocolate into shape of a disc lock.
You now have more effective security.

Some good answers so far however none that answer the question
Can they be that bad? it is the 14mm bar version and only fits through front discs and is quite hard to get to as its against the wall side of the bike.

Obviously I have made a mistake with this disc lock
So which disc lock does the forum recommend

I know about the chain I need almax is the way to go for that but it will have to wait until funds are there
I have a chain that I can use so just thinking disc locks for out and about mainly

I use an oxford "screamer" alarmed disc lock. I got fed up of the annoying clicking noise it made after getting rained on and took the batteries out because couldn't be bothered with it going off at wind, rain, trying to take it off the bike... but never actually moving or hitting it.

I wouldn't rely on it as anything more than a visual deterrent that prevents it being pushed away instantly.

With all the #BAKLYFE and pedbois tooled up with angle grinders it doesnt really matter what lock or chain or anything else you put on it, if they want it theyll have it. A big expensive Almax chain will become a big expensive paperweight when confronted with an angle grinder.

Its all about putting as much highly visible security as you can reasonably be bothered to put on it, and hoping they pick an easier target.. or the battery on their angle grinder runs out before they get through it all

I bought one of these locks.
On my old Kawasaki (which didn't get nicked), I mummified it with zip ties to where the Givi rack is.

Here's an old pic. You can see it near the ER-5 logo.
