Ask J.M.

Some knobhead did the one on my GSXR750. Too loud to MOT without a DB killer.

Ask J.M.

what makes you say that?

I see people have cut them down quite a bit which seems cool at first, until MOT time..

The little baffle i mean is the one that pokes out the end of the can.. like a small diameter tube that sits in the pipe exit Thumbs Up
I don't want to take out the padding/baffling media.. i want a direct exit for the gasses with as little restriction as possible

I've just been told that there is also a baffle tacked inside the link pipe as well.. i'd be happy with just one of them out

Baffle

You are aware that this isn't how exhausts work? Free flowing doesn't mean more power....

...and also that that little pipe sticking out of the exhaust is usually the tip of quite a long iceberg.

The 2nd photo isn't a DIY debaffled can. It comes like that I have similar/same on my GSXR.

If you want a shouty one look on eBay. I managed to get an entire micron race system with carbon can for my ZZR for cheap. Saves fucking around mangling the one you have and means you have a quieter can on the shelf when needed.

Here's a carbon one on auction https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Micron-Carbon-Fibre-Can-/401371280031?hash=item5d7397b29f:g:nqwAAOSwhSVZdNXI

Indeed. It is linked to the holy pipe going through the entire can Thumbs Up

Part of the problem is finding a 63mm fitment can as the majority of them for sales are 51mm or so. There is every fitment bar the one i need for reasonable money Rolling Eyes

So...

Because you can't afford something, you want to make your bike sound like a tractor and also lose power.

Man, you are awesome... however its a really bad idea to continue with your current plan.

wow you are sensitive this morning.. sand in your vagina?

Who said anything about wanting the bike to sound like a tractor? Who said anything about not being able to afford it?

Duly noted, cutting the can is a bad idea. Although i have seen it done and fitted to a 900r with good results already so i know it is possible.

Not even sensitive, just making a point that you are being 100% spacktard. Laughing

Have you even asked J.M. what happened when he did exactly what you did?

As per wr6133s response, it isnt a diy'd can, its actually straight through with the baffle material still in, so i have bought one of those which i will use until MOT time
