So is the bike-in-the-van thing working out as you wanted? How much riding are you getting to do? Looks good, especially the Italy stuff. We didn't see all that much when we went through there last year, as the weather wasn't great so we didn't explore - just passed through - and didn't have the funds to do the region on my last tour, more's the pity.

Perfect way to tour imo. She's dry, warm and happy with the 'necessary' full compliment of female luggage and you get
to ride when the weathers nice and the bike can be locked away from prying eyes in slightly less savoury places overnight.
Great compromise. 
Nice pics too.

nice one! love a bit of alpine action. still yet to go on a bike though 
I know you're not covering those big distances on it, but hows the naked over long days like that? pain in the neck? or fine.. or don't know cos using the van... ha
also... had to ask, why so much luggage when you have the van?

Something I noticed in Switzerland. When I could see the toll roads from my own non-toll routes, they were jammed up solid.

There have been protests in Venice because tourism is driving out the locals due to it causing price hikes in everything. Will the tourists still go if all there is to do is watch more tourists?
