Awareness courses arent about how many point you have, it is about the speed you were speeding by above the limit, and if you have done a course in the last 3 years iirc.

That does seem to be the case for the Farces that publish their eligibility criteria. ISTR (but may be Teffing) that early on they had some maximum points limit as well (3 or 6 or summat) but they all seem to have dropped that now. More monies for the Retirement Fund, I guess.

OP's "friend" seems to be somewhat of a drama magnet.

Thanks for the um... Facebook stalk?

Anyway back to the case in question.

It genuinely is for a friend haha. He got done for 36 in a 30 (joke right) and he's already on 9 points . I don't have a clue if he can get a course. Some of my mates think they do look at your points before they decide and some say it's just automatic you get offered one if you're under a certain threshold and haven't done one in 3 years.

I did a little research and saw a mixed bag. Some say different constituencies have different rules

Hardly a stalk (or a flame) if you consider that you joined a forum using your real name....

As a parent I give an A for effort because:

a) his room is tidier than mine ffs...
b) lint roller. He has standards. I approve.

edit..

c) all of the organisation... like seriously... how do you keep all of your shit so arranged? My desk looks like it was caught in a spat between Kim and Donald

Those friends are right.

Where was he speeding? There used to be separate schemes / rules for different regions, but I think most forces are in the National Scheme now. Some, like Dorset, still run their own but I think they have standardised the qualification rules.
