Hi All,
Just got myself a new (to me) Canon 700d

Quick questions on the new STM Lens kit lens.
Is this much free play on the focus ring normal?

Edit- The focus ring at the end of the lens spins freely, no mechanical connection. It doesn't even seem to move during auto focus.

Focusing is super quiet & amazingly fast compared to my 400d.
However this much free play doesn't seem right to me.

Just been going back through the photos from the last Euro tour, and having a bit of a play with them. There was a certain quality in one which caught my eye, so I did a bit of cropping. The result was something I've been hoping to capture for some time, but never quite managed till now:

...by which I mean, a wild mountain landscape photo that has the look of a watercolour painting. You could say this one shot is why I have been travelling around mountain landscapes as much as I can. Could probably happily put the camera away and never take another shot again now.
