What boat have you got?

I was after a river / shoreline day boat, something small but with a closed cabin just big enough to sleep in.

But instead I bought another bike, so the boat idea will have to wait!

What do you use one of those for?

I'm yet to get my head round all this new fangled smart watch stuff.

Texts/Whatsapp messages/emails go to the watch so you don't have to keep looking at the phone - watch vibrates to alert you to a message.

Timers

Is a trusted device on my phone so I don't need to use my pin to open the phone

Have a small app on it that will show what the phone's camera is looking at - handy for seeing behind equipment in hard to reach places.

Can control music tracks with it

Step/fitness tracker - as inaccurate as they all are.

It tells the time.

Its one of those gadgets that you might not see the point of until you've had one.

One of these for the scoot. £132. Had a look at used ones but in all honesty how could I be sure that one of those
wouldn't go pop in a few hundred miles too. At least the genuine OEM unit will have a guarantee and zero wear.
A lot of the used ones were around 80 quid, saw one for 50 but it looked in no better condition than the one coming off.
Riding it home with no damping, smoke pouring off the exhaust from the dripping oil that actually missed the rear tyre and with just
the spring to soak up ze bumps was ummm... Interesting.

I bought this online just before I went to bali.

I got it following the nostalgia thread about toys from the past, saw this on eBay and thought why not.

Abba stand for the gpz 900r. Centre stand fouls the chain with the single sided exhaust on and the end can, even if cut down, doesnt allow a paddock stand or bobbins to be bolted to the swingarm

Silly problem to have. Have wanted an Abba stand for a long time now.

I like mine, but I do miss the ease of sliding in a paddock stand Confused

@ Vice: I think i will feel the same but at least this way the zed can stay on the abba close to the wall when its not in use (which is most of the time.

Even the stock exhaust fitment gave me issues with the rear stand fouling the end can and denting it. Yesterday the bike fell off the rear stand and i managed to catch it before it took the other bike out with it. Damage was a plastic chain guard being ripped off its mounting holes.

£106 delivered is expensive.. but peace of mind is a pricy thing

Yeah, definitely a lot more sturdy, I don't have the front lift arm yet as that's another £50, so usually get the missus to either push down or sit on the back if I need the front popped up for a bit Surprised

i looked at that as well. £50 or so is quite a bit.
My idea was to use a ratchet strap through the back wheel and through my ground anchor

I've heard this works if you can get the angle right you can apparently even strap it to the stand

A small condenser microphone..Ok..ok...ok I got quite a few mics but this one I can use with the portable recorder for sampling purposes....to help me become rich and famous (yet retaining an air of mystique and privacy not often associated with world renowned artistes).

So are you going to begrudge me spending £40 + £6 P&P? Stop trying to hold me back...God I hate you.

Should be here by next Tuesday. Dance!

Or a dumbbell will often do similar - if you get the front wheel/more off, it'll typically then be back heavy anyway.

I've been very happy with the 1jac I got last year, but alas they're not cheap:

Oh; I just got - an expensive front wheel chock to use in the new van (it better be sturdy... I went for that one because it had integrated widly spaced tie down points and looks to be adjustable enough it'll work for pit bikes too) as well as interior and exterior silver panels for the front windows to try and blockout a good bit of light/insulate.
