I have a 58 plate ML280 (W164) and want to put kiddy's car seat in the front as he's easier to manage and less irritated.

Only problem is I can't figure out how to turn off the passenger airbag.

Have asked google and not getting straight answer.
Have checked car manual but it's like trying to decipher a riddle.

According to one mumsnet post I found, you have to buy a mercedes own brand car seat which has a transponder which automatically deactivates the airbag. Not sure if BS.

Any ideas?

You can't turn off the front airbag, you need a specific transponder. My Civic cannot have the passenger airbag turned off either Sad

Totally stupid. I'm not sure I'd trust the damn things with my grandson in a baby seat, I'd want a mechanical off switch.
