I have a secret stash of Scalextric with some old 60's F1 cars that I'm eyeing up for the loft. And I will have one of these one day:-

Though at the price they are I'm not sure they count as kids toys...

What's in the viv, btw?

I found a box of Lego's in a new house once.
I've then promptly proceeded to stop giving a fuck about everything else and made a truck with a giant cannon on it.

Guess I'm still 12 after all Laughing

Lego, Knex and Mechano might be marketed for kids but they are actually for adults. We all know it.

ive got a shite load of lego built next to me

used to suffer with stress

a doctor told me building models would help as it takes your mind off the problem as you conentrate on what you are building

unfortunatly i got even more stressed with airfix stuff as i have sausage fingers and ended up with various bits of plane stuck to them Laughing

docter then suggested lego so i keep buying bits and when ive had a bad day i sit there building things

even the free stuff out the paper seems to help for a quick fix Laughing

I have a Lego dirtbike and aeroplane, I am trying to talk myself out of buying the Sopworth Camel I saw in the Lego shop a while back. Or the model of the Leaning Tower of Pisa..... Or the Sydney Opera House....

Yay Lego!

Did you know that Alec Issigonis actually built the prototype for the Austin Minis' subframe and running gear using Meccano? When asked what he'd like as his retirement gift he asked for a top of the range Meccano set!

I always thought lego was aimed at kids.... but realistically who's got 8-9 hundred on a box of lego for a kid? (that would probably lose most of the important parts the first day)....

My friend apparently got a great bargain when he paid about £300 for a lego set that detects a light Rolling Eyes Maybe I'm just cheap, but I'd be expecting it to do a little bit more than that for a 'toy'
