Conflicting info on the web, any one know if this is possible?

Frame no intact, not stolen or tampered with.

Unlikely, DVLA don't like re-registering scrapped vehicles.

You might be able to get it put on a Q plate, maybe.

if its be declared scraped I would say your chances are nil, as said probably go with a Q plate, but do these exist these days though? probaby less hassle to pick up a frame with a V5 from Ebay

Q plate is for questionable vehicle identity such as a special or home built etc.

I'd imagine (no experience) that if you could get it on a Q plate then you'd equally get it on an age related plate but perhaps not it's original reg

Classic car / bike people may know more about doing this as they're often digging up un-registered vehicles to put back on the road.

Was used as a field bike.

I phoned the DVLA. They said if I apply with a V62 for the V5 and pay the £25 that I will likely get a logbook, provided it doesn't flag up as stolen, which it doesn't.

I will send off the form tonight and keep the thread updated.

That will only work if it was NOT declared as scrap, and the reg number is still on the system.

Did a check off the VIN no which brought up the old reg no, which I didn't have previously. So, possibly. Like I said, £25 gamble. Not the end of the world. Just gotta wait now.

Always look for the money with the DVLA.

This way they have £25 of yours. It wouldn't surprise me if they try to "fine" the person who declared it permanantly scrapped for making a false declaration. = More money.
