Yes, you absolutely can, and anyone who tells you otherwise is just a mean old meany head.

Or possibly trying to stop you asking the same non bike related question over and over again until you get the answer that you want.

Why are you doing a motorbike test when you want a car?

£400 for a Reliant Robin... Really? That's a good opportunity?

If you want a car, just do your car test.

He won't need them. Girls will be fighting each other off for a chance to ride in his passionmobile. Thumbs Up

So are Robins, I would treat a 400 quid example with deep suspicion, paying particular attention to the state of the chassis.

Im agreeing with Shaft, a Reliant in reasonable condition ought to be costing at least 1.5k

Personally I'm buying the bullet, doing my class B test and buying a cheap banger.

Otherwise, yes you could drive ANY three wheeler on a car or bike licence, as demonstrated ad nauseum in last weeks thread

Okay thanks for the replies. I rang DVLA this morning to clear things up, Yes you can drive them on a full category A motorcycle license. as the reliant is classed as a trike. I think the hard part will be insuring it. It appears to be a grey area for insurance companies.

I should have named myself Ivanova.

"Ivanova is always right. I will listen to Ivanova. I will not ignore Ivanova's recommendations. Ivanova is God."

Well there was a suggestion above in this thread by temeluchus, I can recommend Adrian Flux or you could join the Reliant Motor Club and access their insurance deal.

Of course you do still need to pass your class A.

An "A3 motor tricycle", since 2012.

You can, but why you'd want to... Confused

i picked up a free rialto estate a few years back from freecycle. all was well with it, apart from ARB drop links, the fuel hose was all perished, and the battery was dry. oh, and the tyres were fucked. i think i spent about £400 all in getting it fixed, MOT'd, taxed and insured. not bad for a years motoring......

....except i hated it. it is the only car i have ever owned that i never wanted to find out the top speed in it! i'm sure it wouldn't have just rolled over, but christ, it felt like it was about to Shocked

also, as has already been mentioned, class 3 mot centres are becoming a rare beast now, so check that out first Thumbs Up
