From where I'm sitting, it looks great.
I wouldn't mess with it. You can over-restore things. I'd personally rather see a bike that was clean and well maintained in original and unmolested condition than a concourse restoration.
Robs them of their soul somehow.
Also, unless you are REALLY good at it, any reproduction graphics or a respray with anything other than the correct, original finish (which will be fiddly and multi-layered) will look a bit crap. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. I'd put the mirrors back on and ride it as is, it looks fine.
Bear in mind that asking prices aren't selling prices. Dealers seem happy keep an oddball bike around at a daft asking price for years, just as window dressing, a conversation piece, or as an anchor price for the marque. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
