The headphone port on my monitor's going*, I use it when running with my steering wheel on the Xbox. I was wondering if I got the stereo headset adaptor and plugged it into the controller, would it carry sound even though it would be detected as the second controller (the wheel would be the first)?

Only other solution I can think of would be to hook-up the optical out on the Xbox to some sort of amp (I don't have anything ATM).

*with the headphones fully plugged in it's really quiet and tinny, partially plugged in it's fine but comes out the monitor speakers as well Confused

How do you connect from the Xbox to the monitor? If it's HDMI, then that is capable of carrying sound too.

I use HDMI and the headphone port on the monitor, obviously I can use the monitor without headphones it's just a bit anti-social having engine sounds blasting out.

Yeah, I missed that. My only other suggestion would be Bluetooth.
