Are all of the speed cameras forward facing when travelling east out of London. I see so many bikes going about 65 plus through the average speed area around Dagenham so I can only presume that bikes don't get picked up by these cams.

I haven't bothered asking about the cameras on the west bound side as I can't imagine getting the chance to hit those speeds in the morning and generally travel in on the a12.

Canning Town to just past Fords is definitely front number plate readers so bikes are in the clear.

Just watch out for the old bill who sit at a few places with speed traps. I have seen them on both sides of the Canning Town Flyover and in the lay-by near Goresbrook hiding behind the parked lorries.

Yep, they're forward facing up to where it turns nsl, then there aren't any at all until closer to the M25, from that point on they're rear facing.

I love hooning up out of the East India Dock tunnel and over the CT Flyover and down past that first speed trap, cos by the time I get there, I've taken the heat off the throttle/accelerator and am coasting into my home lane, dropping mphs as I go Cool

Me either. I could probably expand that attitude to more or less the entire South East mind you.

I'm steadily getting to that point. I'm sure I'll be sick of the midlands at some point in my life too, but getting inside the M25 just gets my back up these days.

Whereas I'd take London traffic over a brummy accent any day.

There are remarkably few strong brummie accents around here. It seems that the slow creep of the London Estuary accent is making some serious headway.

Eh, at least I can understand most of it. Having encountered the odd wild YamYam, I'm kinda grateful that regional accents are at the very least being diluted a bit.
