Hello all, new to the forum.

Wondering if anyone knows where I can get some RST boot screws from? The hex screws that hold on the metal toe sliders? I've lost a screw from each boot on my tractech evo boots and I don't want to pay 20+ pounds for some new toe sliders when all I need are two new screws?

Thanks!

They're almost certainly a standard metric screw.

Having never seen them, I'd gamble on something like an m3 10mm countersunk. Just guessing for funsies.

Measure up one of the ones you haven't lost, post back with the size and length of the threaded part and the type of head.

I had the mechanic look through a box of bits and bobs when mine popped out and stuck one in for nothing, top lads. That, however, was only because it popped out on the way there and I mentioned it aloud when I arrived.

Take the one from the other side out and take it with you to a hardware store, they'll know even if you don't.

You are looking for M4 x 8mm buttonheads.

Easy to get hold of at any hardware store, or gimme £3 and I'll post you a set.

In fairness; and please note, this is rare that I would side with fazer, but his post perfectly answered the question:

Indeed. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

So OP lost one screw from each boot, meaning he still has two screws as a pattern.

The logical thing would be to take those out and use them as a pattern to buy more, either online or at a local hardware store.

I'm going to assume OP has next to zero knowledge of fasteners, and has assumed that they are some kind of special motorbike boot screw.

I do believe however the definition of concise is the following:
"giving a lot of information clearly and in a few words; brief but comprehensive."
said post in question twas not concise my cheeky friend drz.

Why are you typing in ye-olde-English? Confused

As far as I can see Screwfix don't actually do the correct screws. Laughing

The closest you'll get is a pozi pan head or allen cap head screw, and even then you'll have to buy a bag of 25 min, and then cut them down to length. Thinking
