Put a new screen on today, with an extra-lifted-up-bit in the middle. Its much nicer now, I dont get battered so much by the wind. Cracked 200 miles yesterday, starting to feel a little more confident now. A bit stuck for places to go, I seem to be driving the same route over and over so need to look a bit further afield. Any recommendations around the reading/bracknell area?

Follow signs from Reading to Henley to Oxford.

Cracked on with some jobs. So far I have given it a new air filter, new oil and filter, new CCT to fix the rattle and a new indicator. Starting to get more confident with the spanners, so thats good. I have, however, broken the fuel rail/throttle bodies, and also snapped the throttle cable. Putting the fuel stuff on is far, far more technical than anything I have done so far so Im pretty nervous about doing that. Pics to follow once I remember how to do it.

Forgot to keep this updated. Since last post, I have done maybe 2000 miles, had my first too-wet-for-that-much-throttle wheelspin moment, done an oil change, put a new front tyre on and put on the new throttle bodies. Im really, really enjoying it. I had my first long trip to the cotswolds to stay the weekend with family, which was great.

One thing im not enjoying so much, is my riding gear. Im going to try and get some lighter stuff, leathers or thin textiles as my current jacket and trousers are far too bulky for summer. Still trying to get leant over further around roundabouts as Im very aware that Im slowing people down and going very slowly. But - these things will come with time.
