Covered over 60 miles this afternoon in glorious weather when all of a sudden and without warning the bike cut out. Drifted to a halt in the middle of nowhere and did a few checks as below.
1. Checked electrics, lights, indicators, horn etc - all working fine.
2. Checked fuses, all of them, all in perfect condition.
3. Checked electrical connections to the battery etc - all okay.
Pressed the starter button and heard a rapid click, click, click, click noise from the starter solenoid. Didn't have a screwdriver handy to arc across the contacts unfortunately. So if it is the starter solenoid, why did the engine cut out? All else seems fine.

I'd be suspecting the main engine earth based on those symptoms and the lack of mention of an alarm. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
