I've got one on my R6. I chose it because it seemed to be one of the better made aftermarket screens and was also one of the best looking black tinted screens available. I have no complaints about the quality the fit or the finish and would happily buy another Puig screen.

They are pieces of plastic in various shapes.

Wheezybiker wrote:

Compared to an OEM screen, probably yes, compared to a piece of eBay polycarbonate heated and bent to fit, probably no.

I fitted a small universal one to the round headlight on my first 125, it kept some of the wind blast off.

To what?

I have a PUIG screen on my R1 and i've had a few on previous bikes.
They are better quality than most.

I have a Puig touring screen on my R1200GS LC and it’s extremely effective and fits perfectly. It’s not as well made as the OE screen, but at least it works properly Thumbs Up

I fitted a Puig on my gixer, fitting ease depends on your bike and whether it is faired/unfaired or how easily you can get to the bolts. Mine vibrates a little and can get noisy at high speeds, it was also an utter dick to fit.

I almost bought one but realised how much higher than stock it looked and it put me off.

Well hopefully it's going on a Yamaha xj6n

Oem ones I have seen are approx 120-140 pounds

The one I am thinking of is a fly screen and fits onto the handlebar clamps
If I am correct the touring one is higher and will also fit the same brackets
Many thanks for the replies

I had a puig screen on my xj6-n for a few months before I managed to break it by dropping the bike against a wall..
I was a bit disappointed with the wind cutting effect, it's probably not high enough to protect the helmet (unless you lie on the tank maybe) and actually adds a bit more turbulence. I think it looks very good anf it's definately a good cosmetic addition but not worth 80 quid imho.

Thanks for that
May have to rethink
Would a touring screen be any better?

I have a puig on my r6 because its the right shade of blue and looks nice.

No idea if it does anything for the wind etc.

They're ok. Had one on my previous bikes: SV & on my MT-03 660.

Stops the wind blast at 60mph+ but is nothing compared to a fully faired bike.

had nasty looking blue one on my cb400, never removed it as it did seem to do the job of keeping wind off my face and in doing so reduced the noise a bit.

Just bought a really nice one for my Z1000. Matches the green perfectly and was easy to install.

Don't know how to pronounce the name though.

The bike at the back has a higher screen. It's just further away Laughing

But seriously, I've got one on CBR6, I like the look of it and it was easy to fit to the bike.

On a naked bike it's going to make very little difference. I put a Puig screen on my naked 1200 Bandit and it minimally redirected the airflow. Without any kind of fairing on the rest of the bike you are going to get buffeted whatever screen you put on so it just comes down to cosmetics. Go with what looks best.
