Was this near Southampton? I saw someone driving along with the brake lights on the whole time. It was leaving a horrible smell behind though.

Bought sugar, turned out to be half-sugar.
Hate aspartame.
Now have it in my tea.

Is it that Silverspoon halfspoon stuff? I took a bag to work for coffee and the sweetener makes it that much sweeter that I can't taste a normal sugar now.
As part of my attempt to cheat healthy eating I've got some Sukrin-1 sweetener which is meant to be the same weight and sweetness as the real thing so it's exactly the same for brews and baking. 'Spensive though.

Last week Lawrence brought me a still-twitching rodent, which I suspected of being slightly too large to be an adult mouse.

Then ... I was working on the PC earlier and noticed Longshanks was sitting in the front window bay watching something run past. I thought it was a couple of cats arseing about, that had just caught the edge of my eyesight, but as 'Shanks then climbed out the window in stalking mode, I knew I must have seen rats scurrying.

Lawrence just confirmed it Puke

Today he brought me another one (into my kitchen!!! Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad ) and the size of it clearly showed that it was a week older than the last rodent, so its DEFINITELY a baby rat Puke Puke Puke Puke Puke Puke

I suspect he's found a local rats' nest (rats' or rat's?)

I'm suspicious that they are coming from the nasty little curry shop around the corner*. Lawrence is always up at that end of the street; he often meets me late at night when I am coming home, with what I've long suspected to be an airy look on his face: "Nomming rats? Good heavens no Mater, I've just been taking a late night constitutional, a bit of fresh air before bed, what what ..."

I'm *seriously* considering gaffer-taping up the cat flap.

*Having the dubious distinction of being the ONLY restaurant to which I have given a terrible report on Tripadvisor so far.

Labour rates: increased from forty-five per hour to fifty per hour and that's not including vat (that I'd forgot about).

One hundred and eighty squid for valve clearances that didn't need adjusting. I'll be going to back to bed.

Not that bothered this time because valves but good job I started spannering on me own bike. If I still had the arrow I would have purchased it over ten times this year alone.
