It was dry but the surface was shocking in the morning. No traction off the line for the bikes at all, even the 600s (even the STriple) were just spinning the rear pulling away. It did improve later in the day when the cars had laid some rubber down but you still had to be careful and run on a strip of fresh rubber.

ZX6s head to head.

On that note; my rather unspectacular results, (minus the first run before I got a number assigned).

Strange that one of your fastest reaction times, produced your slowest run Matt

Reaction time does not count towards your overall time.

It's all voodoo and witchcraft. My highest terminal speed @119.33 was not my quickest run. If you want something meaningful from it then look at the 60ft times because the launch is crucial. Normally a low 60ft means a quick run. Look back at older time sheets from previous meets and they are mostly under 2 seconds, this time the poor surface meant they were mostly over.

When you finally grow a pair and bring the Blade you can find all this out for yourself Thumbs Up Wink

The Aprilia was going a lot better (I'd learnt how to ride it Razz ) but I just couldn't get it off the line. It was spinning the rear in 4th at 100+mph at times. Traction was bad.

Hell yes, I love a run up a strip, and it's been years.

I'm very up for it Thumbs Up

Probably the later in the year the better for me, but I could make most of those dates so whatever suits the most people.

I have no idea what I can/can't get to datewise, so decide a date and I'll show up if I can.

Shall we say June 3rd as a preliminary date then, assuming a load of other people don't suddenly show interest and specifically can't do that date or anything like that.

I (probably) won't have anything worth running up a strip at that point, but I've requested a sprogsitter for that day just in case.

Sorry chaps, succeeded in getting permission from the domestic authorities and everything, just to discover I'm working that weekend Sad

I'll see about a switcheroo with somebody, but it's likely I won't make it for the 3rd.

Providing weather is good, I'm looking at going this Sunday (22nd). Anybody care to join me?

Bought a ZX10R so I'm keen to try it out properly.
