So, now that the insurance paid out fully, I was able to take delivery of the new to me bike Smile First time out on it today, and love it.

The flash on the ECU came with it done and have to say the throttle is still very responsive but not at all snatchy. Happy boy Smile

I've had two standard Streetfighter 1100 models before and decided that, on reflection, it's the most focused performance naked road bike Ducati (or any other manufacturer) has yet released. It's also the most thrilling bike I've ridden, even if it isn't the fastest. Which in my view makes it the best road bike going. So, despite the likely maintenance overhead, I couldn't resist this low mileage Streetfighter S. Very Happy

Yeah, in some ways I prefer to the 250 to the 600 Hairnet I had, doesn't sound too bad either, although thinking of getting a decent sent of downpipes on the thing.

The quad gunned Honda is a CB400 - an overweight homage to the original 750K1.

Don't think I've stuck any of the Enfield up in this thread, so here's one:

Well I haven't taken it out yet and it needs to be run in.

But I did have a fairly extensive test ride, and I'd say it feels about as potent as a GSX-R750 (125bhp at the back wheel), with a proper top end. It also handles as well as any sportsbike I've ridden/owned, and better than most.

My impression from the test ride was that it's just about the perfect fast road bike, taking performance and ergonomics/comfort into account. Having owned one, I wouldn't say that of the old STR (which didn't have much wrong with it, but was lacking in power and suffered slightly with budget chassis components).
