Trying to get my FZS600 back on the road after binning it. The current fairing and light unit are knackered. I'm looking for a headlight but I've got no idea what style or type to use.

I'm thinking a 7" round headlight? Can anyone recommend one that isn't utter shite? I've been burned with cheap tat on eBay before so would rather pay a little more for something half decent. Budget of around £50. Thumbs Up

A 7 inch round headlight sounds like a plan, a quick look on Amazon and you can get one for about £30.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-Motorbike-Motorcycle-Project-Headlight/dp/B00O0U63QQ/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_263_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=PVT24TEKSXXE6PZ9D4VQ

plus the brackets for about £7....

I've got a clone of a Harley "Daymaker".

Surprisingly nice, decent, usable beam pattern and light output from LED's. Only snag is, you need to wire it in yourself, as it's on bullet connectors, not a H4 or similar connection.

Cheers for the suggestions, that £30 Amazon one looks good.

I've also found a cheap one on eBay for a tenner:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12v-7-INCH-MOTORCYCLE-MOTORBIKE-HEADLIGHT-HEADLAMP-ROUND-HALOGEN-H4-BULB-SIDE-/122555039895?hash=item1c88d98097:g:suUAAOSw81dZr8F0

I'm slightly dubious about the price, is there a legal requirement for a sidelight? As this one doesn't look like it has one.

The sidelight, not entirely sure on the legal requirement, as you had one
with your original headlight I suppose you should still have one.

fitted that to my 2nd fazer, worked fine light isnt too bad, downside is high wattage bulbs start to warp it a little but better than stock headlights!

To be honest I rarely ride in the dark, it's just to get it legal if anything. Worth a shot for a tenner then Thumbs Up

RD250 replica headlamp is a classic.

If you want to go the whole 9 miles, fit it with a Cibie, sealed beam insert.

I was going to suggest something like that. Lower current draw and should be a better output. I have seen youtube videos reviewing and rating the different copies.

Is it dipped the right way for riding on the left? I'm tempted by these on ebay but a lot of them don't say whether they're meant for riding on the left or the right..

The one I have dips "down" rather than left, usually labelled as universal.
