I believe driving the wrong down a slip road is an offence, there were a bunch of cars (and a bus/coach i think as well) caught a year so back on traffic cameras doing this, this was on a motorway though, so not sure if same applies to A roads
Not sure if this is the one i was thinking of, but a similar story

I'm sure Rog will be along shortly to point to the relevant (or not) offence being committed ____________________ Current Bike: Honda CG125 ES4 // Honda CB600FS Hornet // Triumph Street Triple R |

Never had to go it but I would have no problem at all with picking my way slowly back to the previous junction so I could use the slip road. I'd do it between the lanes though not on the hard shoulder, at walking pace if necessary. Doubtless there would be righteously indignant objectors but there's always another choice of lanes to filter between. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
