Hi guys,

I was wondering if you were using the impact wrench to release and tighten the variator or you would recommend another tool to avoid the damage to the screw?

Yes use the impact. On some bikes its the only way to get the sod off!

Put a line across the nut using a permanent marker etc so when you retighten you know when to stop.
