Here's a thought about a no trade deal Brexit.

As we're a net EU importer, we will take more in tariffs from EU companies importing to the UK, than UK companies will pay exporting to the EU.

OK, so if we put the import tariffs into a government fund and used this fund to pay export tariffs to the EU for companies, owned by and operated from the UK, these companies would be no worse off than if they were in the single market.

The fund would also generate a small profit on the tariff surplus due to the UK's trade deficit with the EU, so this could be used to fund the scheme. Think of it like a reverse VAT charge.

So, why would this not work all the time we import more than we export with the EU?

You still think the single market is about tarriff, bless

The customs union is what means we have to pay tarrifs to the Eu if we're outside of it's CU

The sm is a single market of rules and regulations, once you go outside of the SM, you have to have all the correct documentation to ensure your product is what it says it is, is allowed in to the market , all of which takes time to check over, so that means lorries backing up and drivers wages going up costing hauliers thousands, and in turn, us.

Because you don't have to leave the single market when we leave the Eu, EEA agreement with EFTA protection against ECJ instead.

Principles.

You'll find yours outside the front door, they're metaphysically incapable of crossing the threshold of socialist housing.

I'll visit him personally. To serve the papers for defamation Laughing

Or maybe I'll just Doxx him and his animal porn habits. Get a Rainpal-esque tribute site going to tell everyone who visits his site what a deviant he is. Thinking

Sure can read. I had a quick scroll through that paper looking for the consolidated sum of monies owed by the UK on leaving the EU. Didn't see one.

Because its called framework - the sums of money can come only after the UK say what the UK accepts and what not.

I mean we are talking about 1000s of joint projects that are executed together with EU and the UK and all need to be untangled.

It's not EU fault, go ask Theresa May for consolidated sum of monies owed by the UK on leaving the EU. It appears she has all the data to check the Brexit bill ‘line by line’:

https://www.publicfinance.co.uk/news/2017/10/may-uk-scrutinising-brexit-bill-line-line

The problem is the UK doesn't want to say what exactly for which project they want to pay until they have some future deal. Because this is the ONLY card the UK has in the negotiations.

Also the rest of the tories will eat her alive Laughing

Quote:
She said the UK would be willing to pay “relevant” costs to continue to be part of projects such as those in science, research and criminal justice.

May said the position of the UK was that the final figure would only be agreed once the final exit agreement is settled.

Which sound to me like you are having a divorce, but refuse to sign the divorce papers and pay any money you owe to your wife, before your future ex-wife tells you the date of your future holiday in Spain.

What if she don't want to see you afterwards?

I see Donk has blocked anyone who gives him the same amount of contempt he deserves, and only now tries to communicate with those he thinks give him less of an argument.
Go on MC, show him for the cunt he really is. Then he'll only have Val to pick on.

Why would it damage negotiations to show people what a success Brexit will be?
