|Did an evening session last week at Whilton Mill.
It ran like shite.
No top end power, literally felt like somebody had turned the fuel tap off once I was getting into the band.
I've stripped the carb down and cleaned it. Gone down to a 160 main jet, which is what is standard I believe, and fitted a make-shift airbox type snorkel on the bike. It's a length of boost hose with a 45deg bend in it. And then my filter sock fitted onto the end.
I've also adjusted the float height to the 11mm stated by Delorto.
The combination of those three jobs have completely transformed the bike from last week.
So I'm looking forward to Whilton Mill this weekend.
I've just taken it for a quick spin round the block (Fitted number plate back on, little bit naughty on slicks though)
Only really got up to about 4th gear. But it sings just like it should now.
