Moar growings from Boomer...

https://i.imgur.com/oDum7Zt.jpg

He really is starting to dwarf other dogs now - and dogs I knew previous to getting Boomer now look tiny. He's around 6 months now but apparently his breed dont get to full size until 6-10 months Laughing Laughing

Still has a foot fetish:

He likes the rabbit:

He wasnt sure of hedgehogs though:

I think all in this thread have been proper dogs so far! I'm not a fan of handbag designer dogs personally. Plus I'm constantly worried that Boomer, not knowing his size, will flatten them with his massive paws as he tries to initiate play Laughing

Yeah, some bastard replaced Carlos with a slightly larger version that's prone to dropping the kind of farts that Saddam Hussein would've thought twice about releasing near the Kurds, you know?

I know, believe me I know...

What food do you have him on? Boomer was on Beta puppy which gave him horrendous wind and didnt really fill him up.

He's now on something like this:

What does Boomer weigh now? Gracie was 36.75 kg last time she was at the vets a few weeks ago.
She frequently stamps on my nads. Shocked

Asda Hero wet food and Wagg Worker dry. I know that neither is particularly highly thought of, but Carlos certainly likes it and definitely doesn't come off as being any the poorer for it. Just gassier. So much gassier.

He was last weighed 2 weeks ago and was 24kg. I think he has reached his full height now, but you can see his hormones are starting to kick in and it's quite funny to watch. He half-cocks his leg when he has a wee, and on a walk he'll sniff every little thing, then wee on it.

Not sure he'll get a big as Gracie though!!

Have you considered raw food?
Less waste to clean up, no wind problems and all round better for the dog
But you do need freezer space

Agreed. My missus ended up with an old Chihuahua in tow when we got together. (Having poo pooed small dogs for years I've been pleasantly surprised, it's like having a cat that's not an arsehole Laughing ). This old dog was on its last legs a few years back and had started having strokes with increasing regularity so we decided to treat her to her last months by switching from dry food to canned meat (not as good as raw but teeth, chewing, etc), as she was struggling to eat with two remaining teeth!
The old bitch is now sixteen, has a beautiful silky coat that was like straw on the dried food, still bosses around the Labrador and can jump high enough to get on the sofa, Thumbs Down with no signs of me needing to dig out the shovel in the near future...

A few of my big bundle of fun.

https://i.imgur.com/kIPfE0S.jpg
^^^Quite an old one but a very very normal pose for that lazy, blanket loving cow. Laughing

https://i.imgur.com/bfzvbVd.jpg
^^^Lots more recent and a lovely shot of the teeth my wife cleans for her once a week (Liver flavoured toothpaste Sick )
I'd just told her the one about the priest and the rabbi.

https://i.imgur.com/e0fLhjU.jpg
And this one was yesterday, she was fully sat on my legs while I was laying on her sofa... My big strapping girl. Wub
And she's still growing... Laughing Probably until about April. Thumbs Up She dwarfs full grown female Weimeraners now,
top of her shoulders is about level with our dining room table but mostly she's filling out rather than getting taller.
Apologies for portrait mode, open pic in a new tab to see her proper dimensions. She wouldn't fit in a landscape shot
that close up Laughing

Canine addiction can be a terrible thing. If you're not careful you end up with these.

Planning has begun for doggo#2 We're 90% decided on what's next, it will be hard to find a breeder though there
aren't many in the UK. The 'breed' in question is a designer dog really though. The Great Weimar is a 50/50 cross
of a great dane and a Weimeraner. They are stunning dogs, not quite as big as a Dane but a fair whack bigger than a Weim.
I'm thinking a boy this time and I'm going to name him Uhtred. Thumbs Up
I'll just leave this here. Gracie - supreme ruler of my house has a BIG shock coming. Laughing

Good luck Gracie Laughing you must have a big house to have those bounding around!!

So, who has their doggos insured? Who with and what level of cover? I had a quick skim look and it looks a bit of a minefield!

Don't bet on it. All the times I have had 2 dogs the bitch has ruled the roost irrespective of size.
