If you flew into Oakland and had 2ish weeks, where would you go?
I'm thinking this kind of route to go to San Francisco, LA, Vegas, Grand Canyon, maybe salt lake city...
Thoughts?

I’ve had three 17 day road trips to the USA and I’m heading back there next year
Last years trip was Nor Cal and Oregon starting from SF and my 2012 trip also included SF and the south west USA (link to ride report below )
https://www.ukgser.com/forums/showthread.php/305523-California-amp-South-West-USA
With two weeks I’d head to old town Sacramento to visit the railway museum (if you like trains and westerns) and then to Yosemite.
Head over the Tioga Pass to Bodie ghost town and then down to Death Valley. Skirt past LV to Zion NP and then the wonderful Bryce Canyon Then drive/ride the fantastic Utah 12 Highway, visit Antelope Canyon in Page, hike down into the Grand Canyon, visit Mesa Verde and Monument Valley, stop in the lovely little town of Williams, follow a bit of Route 66 from Seligman to Kingman and meander your way across the desert back to California coast and take Highway 1 up through Big Sur (if it’s reopened) back to SF. |
