Battery pack for use with a GoPro Hero 4

I used to use an old Tecknet 12000mAh battery pack but recently gave it away and "upgraded" to the new 13000mAh model which has faster charging and all that. But what it doesn't do is actually charge my bloody GoPro, the GoPro detects it as a computer and goes into USB mode then the battery pack charges it for a minute or 2 then turns off. Not much use to me like that. The older style one wouldn't turn on unless you pressed a button on it but difference was it wouldn't turn off, ever but it still easily lasted a full day of recording which is all I want. I can only assume there's some sort of technowizardery going on between the GoPro and battery pack to establish how quickly it can charge it, but nevermind, it's great for phones mind.

Any suggestions?
