Well it's that or call people fucking pieces of shit.

Both are beautiful phrases that can be used in any situation.

Treat contemptible things with contempt, my man.

Reason late goer who ranted at the supervisor is still there is his foot was firmly in the door.

If they can remove a PITA at interview stage painlessly, then they will do.

You stuck a big PITA hat on your head, rightly or wrongly.

"Ring ring, recruitment agent. Please send me another one, this one has dents in the can"

And that's as long as they will remember your stand, rightly or wrongly.

I learned this week that even if a wombyn volunteers the information that she's just got knocked up and will therefore be off for the best part of a year, that you must not factor this information into your project staffing decisions, because that is discrim-men-hate.

Instead, you must select the best person for the job even if she's told you that won't be doing it. Folded arms

Oh, in other news, I just did the training, laughing all the while, and therefore didn't get sacked. My bad on the Nazi thing, that's on me.

Today I was moved off site.... sorry... escorted from site (like a criminal), because I refused to fill out a glorified survey on human rights.

My argument, it's a load of crap.... paedophiles, child killers, mass murderers and terrorists should have no human rights... but they do. People with terminal illnesses are forced to stay alive against their will to suffer, foreigners with serious criminal records fight deportation at the tax payers expense, people are freezing/starving to death because they can't afford the cost of living, some homes are unfit for human habitation (in some cases should be condemned) but the government has just said they are fine, (yes I watched the Russell Howard thing on the housing shortage)... and a couple of other things.

Their reply, it's a [company name] requirement and since you've refused you'll be taken off the [company name] contract with immediate effect, you will be escorted off the site now... leave your ID please.
Total time from start of interview to being removed from site.... less than a minute

So my views on human rights was 80% of the reason I refused.... the other 20% was about another guard.

Almost 4 weeks ago a guard who is regularly late wasn't allowed to leave early and spent the next 30 minutes verbally abusing the supervisor.
Total time to be removed from site.... 4 weeks and counting.

So you were sacked for refusing to fill in a survey because;

1: You didn’t agree with it.

2: Your employer didn’t sack a colleague that verbally abused their supervisor.

Fuck me, you need to man the fuck up. We all have to do bullshit things we don’t agree with at work from time to time! Sounds like your employer had a lucky escape Rolling Eyes

There's too much of this crap in the the modern workplace. Stand your ground old chap. Id have far more confidence someone with your attitude would actually take the real responsibilities of the job seriously than the polystyrene back-boned brigade saying you should go along with it.

I've mused over crowd-funding myself a wage so I can then go taking on jobs where these kind of "procedural" harassments are common. Then, treating the management to some genuinely "challenging" behaviour and uploading the whole scene for my sponsors gratification. Sort of like an HR version of The Equaliser.

If there's ever a revolution in this country it wont be inspired by any political group but triggered by some over zealous HR procedure.

I had a training thing once "How to be a supervisee" if I remember correctly. We all had to tell the group our "happy song". I ended up at a disciplinary interview after refusing to "share" so "undermining" the group.

Also ended up hauled over the hot burning sulphur coals in the HR dungeon after telling (sharing) with a training group that my aim in work was to eventually leave the work sector. This was in response to the trainer asking everyone to "share" their aims in life. The training was on motivational interviewing. Rolling Eyes

Where as you would have organised a devastating campaign of industrial, political and social action. Which from small begginings would grow into a global phenomenon spreading through cultures and societies. Eventually leading to the raising of humanity from its state mired in horror and suffering to a brave new world of wonder snd joy.?

A lot of people ended up on cattle trucks headed for Poland as a result of that way of thinking.

Ironically, a lot of people ended up on cattle trucks headed for Poland because other people thought that human rights could be selectively applied.
