What, if any, are the requirements for indicators?
Dropped bike and broke front right indicator. Plastic welding of holder has restored it almost as good as before.
The lens has not faired so well (I had to cut up a coloured bottle as I couldn't find all the bits)...

Can I ride with it like this until a new lens arrives? Is it in the "fine as long as you don't get caught" category or "technically bad but never enforced" like all those cars with only 1 headlight I see?

worse that would happen is you get a vehicle defect notice and 14 days to fix it and prove that it's fixed I think, and prove it - which I think attracts a fee from an MOT centre

meh - My Honda has had black tape holding one lens on for 2 years.

I had a bit of a Tango bottle for a lens for 2 years. Went through 2 MOT's with advisories. As long as light is orange, you can't see light through gaps, you should be fine.

Interesting question. If you find any of the remaining traffic police you could ask either of them.

Is it a LEGAL requirement to actually use it... Or are you just required to have them fitted. Wink

If fitted it should work, but that's why they give us orange creams in quality street. Glue that over it. Bin the chocolate because no one likes that one.

I preferred the lime creams but they discontinued them about 25 years ago
