the CB125F (Made in Thailand I believe?).

China-China-China, I believe. But I believe that based on the UK biking press, who I reckon get their tru-fax from a lanky ginger chap down the pub.

Ah ok, I thought Thailand was Honda's preferred sweatshop ATM, and this c**t misled me Wink

The CB500 variants are Thai takeaways, but when you absolutely, positively have to chisel every Yuan, China still seems to be king of the sweatshops.

Greetings All @ BCF,

My Fiancee & I just completed our CBT's together & are looking at getting a couple of 125cc manual bikes for all year round UK commuting as well as getting out together at evenings/weekends etc

Hello and welcome to BCF Smile

If you need a bike for wet and all year round riding get twist and go scooters something like Honda PS125/SH125.

The weather protection is way better and if that is your only transport the luggage space is much better too.

Means you can go shopping too.

I really don't see the point of having manual given the fact its 125 - the power will be the same.

I have ridden CBF125 and YBR125 and PS125 - well I have a news for you the scooter is the most stable and better bike then the manuals.

If you need good manual 125 you need to splash out good money and get KTM or Yamaha MT125.

Doesn't make any sense to me given the fact that the price of really good as new used two Hondas will be equal to one good manual 125 like KTM.

Buy good gear with the savings. My 2p.

I've been testing last Friday emergency breaking on my broke in Michelin Pilot Street @0530am in freezing drizzle. Absolutely no issues. Still breaking better than my car. Had to try really hard to get ABS kick in. I would say I stopped within around 8-9m @30mph (tried a few times).
