Summary: not quite as awful as the rest of the year to date.
Adventure Sports up thanks to the MT-09 Tracer. A slight rebound in mid capacity bikes. 125s still circling the drain, and a surprisingly bad month for litre-plus.
Despite losing the Adventure crown, BMW are still #3 after the usual suspects with Triumph nipping at their heels and KTM not far behind.
Lexmoto and Harley are bobbing along, with the Also Ran Japanese marques propping up the rear along with a disappointing month for Piaggio.
I hope nobody's booked any lavish Xebusmass parties this year, because the best you can say is that everyone is hanging in there grimly. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Well, tl;dr version is that I need more mugs to rent on PCP so that I can buy used bargains.
Actually, sales are up in the capacities that interest me, so I'm (potentially) all right, Jack. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Interesting,
No one has yet made a better/faster/superior PCX 125 yet then? Nice market to tap into if it's not too late?
Surprised that the Yamaha YZF125R is still the best selling pinnacle 125, as at bigger capacities sports bike have gone dead in the name of funky nakeds. Maybe it's because the 75mph+ Yam is still the best place to spend your 15bhp years on, and gets you from place to place faster than anything else that's funky looking but slow relatively.
Best reading though is how many 300cc TPI's have KTM sold? Anyone would think that the two strokeophiles have been edging themselves for this moment, and that in their minds they are seeing the saviour of the two stroke engine and it's future greatness. |
