I've got a '81 250 Honda with a registration number I wish to transfer to a
'14 Suzuki RV125.........possible ?, can a '81 plate legally be t/f to a '14 bike ?....Will an age related plate be issued to the '81 Honda ?....how ?. Ta in anticipation.

Yes you can make a vehicle look older than it's plated year but not newer.

To transfer a plate the donor has to be roadworthy MOTed.
I sold a bike then tried to swap the plate and DVLA would not allow the exchange as the donor had not MOT. It expired the week I sold it to the dealer. Smile

What an arse-ache to sort out that futile administrative nonsense.

That was a few years back and rules have changed but it is better to speak to them before your dreams are destroyed by their bureaucratic bull-shite
