Day 15 – Highland Games and Edinburgh (180 km)

From there Northwards to Lochearnhead – Showtime - Highland Games – at least to get a small insight in this traditions:

First we attend the obligatory March of Pipes&Drums and then 3 hours later with bagpipes, shot-putter and hammer throw, we started our way to Edinburgh.
Day 16 – A full day in Edinburgh and Rosslyn
What for a feeling. Today, the motorcycles will stay at the Hotel and we are move within the scotish capital by bus and by foot.

In the afternoon we visited Rosslyn Chapel , well known from the movie The Da Vinci Code.
This peace of jewellery beam such an enormousness power and appeal, that we decided this visit other than the Applecross Pass as the greatest Highlights of this tour:

Day 17 – Back to England along the coast (250 km)
From our hosts in Stirling we heard, that the Museum of Flight about 25 km east of Edinburgh should be a side trip worth. As we have been on the way to Tantallon castle, we stopped there, but due to big refurbishments most of the excibition was closed. So we droven directly to the ruins of Tantallon Castle. The old and bulky rests of the wall impart the Importance of this site in the past:

Due to heavy rains again, we took the A1 to reach Newcastle upon Tyne in the early afternoon.
Newcastle – succinct – for us not worth than stay for only one night.

Day 18 – Newcastle’s Surrounding and then up to the ferry (90 km)
As we have to be against 15:00 at the ferry terminal, whe made a short brainstorming, what we can do in the nearer surroundings. We visited Angel of the North:

From there some kilometers easternly the Coast of South Shield.

Day 19 – Amsterdam/Ijmuiden to Luxembourg (450 km)
We arrived in Amsterdam a little bit delayed, as the pilot arrived too late.
Speedy we driven via Eindhoven – Hasselt and through the Ardennes to Luxemburg, where we spent the last:

Day 20 – From Luxemburg at home (420 km)
As we arrived to late in the evening, we have done the inside visit of the casemates this early morning.

After 20 eventful days with about 5000 km on the tachometer and no accidents, we arrived safe at home!
