|
|
Hey guys just wondering if anyone knew of the colour code for the Yamaha YBR 125 2007 in blue? It is the carb version so it is the one without the fairing on the tank.
I know I can use the VIN to find out but not sure how and would be cool if someone knew it.
I have attached the panel I am trying to match.
Hope someone can help

The second easiest thing is to show the panel to the paint shop people. It's not that expensive to have a colour mixed to match whatever you want. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

I'm not sure about your location, but here in the Land of beer, I had mixed 1dcl for about £5. I only told the lad I wanted a paint, that would match my car, he went to my car, put some gadgets on it, had a look around and got mixed for me the perfect match for my car. They even can mix it, so the new paint looks aged just like the rest of the body panels are.
When talking painting stuff. The most expensive part is the preparation and the actual process of spray painting. The filler, paint and clear lacquer are the cheapest bits.
How much of filler? - Not much, they sell filler in a spray can. One is enough, or you could go the old fashion way with the putty. If you've never worked with the filler, beware, once you spray it/put on, let it dry properly and then you want to sand it down, to get a nice surface. What I'm trying to say is, more you put on, more you're gonna then have to sand down/off. Very time consuming. Do not use electric tools at this point if you don't have the experience. With electric tools it's very easy to overdo it, no worries though you may put the filler back on and try again later.
How much paint is enough? - The paint shop people should have an idea.
How much of clear coating? - Not much, once again they sell it in a spray can.
Now, google your location and try to find a (car) paint shop, that sells colours and other accesories. Then ask them, asking won't cost you a thing, I suppose. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Ride the bike to a paint shop and you'll be able to take the paint home with you. |
