This would have been a brilliant post if your 'new bird' had been female.

Eh? I go to a tester who I know will at least check the brakes work (never got an advisory from them). £5 more than my other guy who only checks the lights, but at least I know the bike isn't a total deathtrap Neutral

So I softened him up by talking about bikes -- because he owned one -- but I tell ye the desk had no holes in: no battling of swords for an exchange of paper. Non I tell the! Laughing

Caught up with the last 3 MotoGP races. Philip Island was probably the best race I've seen Shocked No spoilers for the finale*, except you'll no longer have to listen to Julian Ryder spitting all over the microphone Thumbs Up Or say Keith every 5 seconds, there's two of you, we know who you're talking to Rolling Eyes

Hearing my ex-father-in-law had popped his clogs, only found out today but he died 10 days after my wedding, so he will have known I had found happiness again before he shuffled off to that place below hell that real little shits go. The ex didn't like him either.

Sorry for being so heartless but he was really spiteful and caused a lot of harm in his life.

My daughter bought me tickets today for next year's britrock mini tour.

Reef*, The Wildhearts & Terrorvision on equal billing. Yay!

Wildhearts or Terrorvision had better be last on though. They both know how to do a show.

*I know four songs.

Not at all. I have relatives for whom I'd feel totally indifferent if they were no longer here.
Not sure it would oil my gears but I can understand your view.

See, why not Therapy? instead of Reef?

Apparently they're rotating the line up across the tour. Fingers crossed Newcastle gets Reef first while I'm still in the pub.

I agree so much, except Reef first at London. The Wildhearts will surely 'headline' Newcastle?

Scored what appears to be a practically brand new HP laptop from my mate in Pescara.

MAHOOSIVE screen.
Windows 10

He was just on the verge of suggesting I get something like a Sony Vaio when he appeared to change his mind, and gave me the one he bought a couple of months ago. Yay.

Just have to buy one of those Eur/UK plug converters plugs (5 quid in Arrgoose)

... and then work out what it says (in Italian) Rolling Eyes

I already know that "aperto" means open and "chuiso" means "close" (in relation to files).
So I think I should survive.

It certainly won't hurt me to learn more Italian.
It was getting rusty anyway.

My Bodyguard account? Been away working for the last couple of weeks in Smilers new manor and sleeping on one
of these -

Better than the floor but only just. My bed at home felt like unashamed luxury in comparison.

Splashed out on a pair of these bad boys (£7 something in the sale).

Used for the first time today and, well, they're ok: bit of an alien feeling. Ending up attempting to shift with the throttle still open, oops (won't be making that noise again).

Still, providing I can get used to them, hands remained better than without them.
