Hi has anyone used Zello or similar for bike to bike chat? Im looking at a way for a few of my mates to all chat even if we have different headsets and was recommended this? You basically install the the app on your phone and can get a remote button on your bars you press to activate a Walkie Talkie coms. I have a cheap bt headset from amazon and i don't work to fork out £300 for a new one. Its a US company, is there a UK version anyone uses?

Sorry the remote connects to your phone, phone via bluetooth to headset then voice message is sent via mobile data network. Ive yet to try it but setup the app and added users over wifi. I can see the push to talk working and the fact no data roaming in europe should be ok, i need to test group only tried 121 so far.

it seems to be pretty popular over the pond.

isnt the simple solution to just let everyone know where you are going and then meet up there?

this has to be better than some dizzy twat in your ear saying how hes lost,or some gp wanabe moaning about how slow the others are.

hell is other people.

Push to talk was a thing that became popular in the US about the time 3G came out (2006/2007). The phones even came with dedicated buttons. I did not know of any UK networks that supported it on the network but maybe this app is delivering OTT.
