Shame really, as netbooks could be quite useful !

Thread hijack.

I've still got an Eee PC in occasional service. And once you've added a keyboard to a tablet, what have you got?

Continuing hijack. Many were hideously underpowered, and couldn't even handle Youtube. I was looking at Chromebook type things (a relative has a £150 budget) and they seem to be similar spec'. How on earth will they run windows 10 Confused

Wasn't there a thread about this a few weeks ago?

I have a Fitbit, for fitness stuff. Counts steps and heart rate which is what I wanted but also vibrates when I get phone calls and shows texts. The texts part is pretty good for me because my hands are filthy most of the time when I'm at work.
I don't know what toys an Apple Watch or Galaxy Gear offers but all I want is more characters on my text previews.

Love my Sony Smartwatch 3

Such a chore opening up the phone to check/read texts and emails Smile

Being an old fart, telling me when I've left my phone somewhere is useful.

It also tells the time. If you wear a watch for that then why not have a watch that does more?

Why oh why would you even put Windows on anything Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes .. But, asisde from that, yes many were underpowered, however, there were also some that were pretty capable. Could run local copies of various Oracle, Mysql & Postgres databases, libreoffice etc, would work well, as would gimp etc for editing photos.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 6 years, 123 days ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
