Country lane - slow speed - somehow managed to not see a huge pile of mud.

Front wheel went, right foot had to go down, brought it back up. 😳

Some poo may have come out though....

Good you didn't face to tarmac. Thumbs Up

Bad you not riding in vehicle tracks on a road like that. Thumbs Down

That's why I try and ride in the part of the road where car tyres usually are, all the shit typically gets kicked into the middle or edge of the road.

Yeah. 😞 I failed miserably. I’d been on main roads the whole journey and decided last minute to take a detour. Didn’t change my mindset from main road travel to side road travel.

Almost paid the price!

I blame the wife for smashing her car up yesterday and making me think about it!

Most the roads I ride are like that. It's alright in the daylight, but nighttime is a mare.

Yeah its a b@stard at times single track roads, i ride a lot of them up here and always stay left of centre simply because all the crap gets flung into the middle. Nice you managed to stay up.

Cheers, yeah my brain just switched off and it seems to default to “centre of lane” - what a dickhead.

I haven’t included the next 45s of video where (after recovering) - I go back to the centre again! Tit.

Rode properly after that though! 😂🤣

Yeah check below your never actually save either side of the single track lol, this nearly spat me off, i was left of centre but my back tyre caught a bit.

All looks totally avoidable but when your going for it the road fairly gets narrow.

And if you come off there and get thrown into the undergrowth - you’re not getting found quickly! 😳

Edit : I use the ESR app to call / text and email someone if it detects a crash. Also sends them your location. I have nightmares about sliding off a quiet country lane and lying in the bushes for days!

Thats the highland council idea of filling in gaps at the side of the road, fill it up and let the cars bed it in...
