Anyone use Viewranger on a motorbike?

Anyone use Viewranger on the move on a bike?

I tried using to today to navigate a green lane ride, but it was very hit and miss. I've bought the OS tiles, plotted a route on a pc saved it to my account, synced it to phone. Phone has no sim card in it, no data connection unless at home on a wifi. Relying on an actual GPS signal, downloaded a GPS tollkit app to make sure I'm getting a GPS signal - which I can get.

Just struggling to get it do what I want it to do, which is show my position on the os map, and then move the map with me as I move along, ideally with my route on the screen.

It sort of was, but I had to stop and take my glove off and scroll across every so often which was really time consuming and as my OS tiles are 1:25,000 I have to zoom out a fair way to get much on the screen which makes it fiddly working out the where to turn when I get to a small network of village streets.
