After riding to Worcestershire last week, I've decided that I'm not riding now until the new year. It's my only mode of transport, but I don't commute and being the run up to Christmas I'm going to have too much booze in my system to ride anyway.

Oil in locks isn't the best idea. You should be using graphite powder to lubricate lock mechanisms.

Always used 3in1 in locks, you learn something new everyday.

Just ordered some of this:

You can just use a pencil.

You don't need fuel additive for a few months. Years maybe but not months.

I thought over winter 3 months or so better be safe than sorry. Thanks though, maybe next year, I've put the whole bottle in.

Before I started to put the fuel additive in, I'd get gummed up carbs. The only thing I could do was to drain tank and carbs and refill when wanting to use again. This way, she's all ready to start in the new year, used the additive for the last couple of years without any problems.

Every year prior to have an additive, the bike would run crap and require a carb clean. Since using the additive, no such problem.

Maybe a specific RF 900 issue, the CBR I had, I just took the battery off, left it for 4 or 5 months and it fired up good as new. Like I say, my RF 900 was an issue.
