Hey y'all. Noob here and I could do with a bit of advice.
I'm looking to buy a cbf125 for the Mrs for Xmas. The one I have my eye one ticks all boxes but there's a noise from the engine that concerns me. It's a knocking noise that comes and goes on tickover but doesn't sound like bottom end bearings. Bike starts from cold no problem. No smoke whatsoever, had fsh, is well looked after, and the lad hadn't even noticed the noise. 09 plate, just under 10k miles. Any ideas?
I have a lot of experience with engines, just not dinky single pots, so no need to be too simplistic.
Cheers in advance.

Is the noise still there when holding the clutch lever in?

No idea, and it's an hour away so no chance of checking at the mo. I'm coming from this completely green with respect to this kind of engine. I'm more outdated brit lumps, Japanese 4 pots or daft yank v8s to be honest and it sounded like the first signs of bottom end bearings or something worn and loose and resonating but not serious.
I was hoping it was something common....

Just a quick thought: How long would one of these take to warm up from cold on tickover?
