If you have a glack carpet then no problemo, otherwise Allah is telling you he doesn't like your carpet.

Ah, the NHS.

9 days to get an appointment (I know, aren't I the lucky one), then I turn up to find that:

1) My doctor is off sick. 5 out of 6 at the surgery are on maternity, on leave or sick.

B) They'd misbooked it anyway and given it to another Borg with a similar date of birth. Brick Wall

Fortunately, half their bookings hadn't bothered showing up, so they managed to get me in to the practice nurse, who was as usual more helpful than the doctors.

And they almost - almost - apologised for the snafu after they realised what had happened and that I wasn't lying or deranged. It's (almost) a Christmas miracle.

I thought you had private healthcare so you didn't need to engage with the peasant folk?

I think somebody's been doing too much airsoft. Only a matter of time until we see your Facebook profile picture on the evening news, and some balaclava shots.

Don't do that, the top of your cock might get frostbite.

I thought that snow would make it easier for you to bury your roadside turds in?!

I saw some hardcore bikers out today, and one mophead rider, who decided to turn back. Then two minutes later he comes filtering past, and did then sit behind traffic, presumably he had a moment of traction loss and erred on the side of safety.

I bought some bike parts from an overseas website, total cost £50. DHL slapped a £24 import charge on it and refuse to tell me how they worked that out. I accept that VAT and duty have to be paid but I don't understand how that can work out to be almost 50% of the value of the goods.

AND they deliver your goods first then shake you down for extra money afterwards.

The absolute bollox that car salesmen come up with to tell you why a their cars are better than their competitors. Apparently having less steering feel is a good thing so you don't get distracted from driving Confused

Going round to visit the ex-husband and discovering he has got ringworm from his cat. Rolling Eyes

He's in a downward spiral, and I'm not sure how far I should kick his arse about pulling himself together ...
(we've not been married for probably near-on 20 years, but he takes more notice of me than of almost anybody else)

... or to just let him slip further into eccentric-old-man hood.

(our daughter might never forgive me Crying or Very sad )

Puke Laughing

The worst part of it is that he quite clearly thinks "Oh its just Jen, she's seen me in any number of tedious states of undress over the dozen or so years we were married", and so he doesn't bother to get dressed if I happen to turn up when he's still in his dressing gown, and still has all his bits and pieces on display (whether he realises it or not, I am no longer of an inclination to point these things out )

But then ... if he'd been properly dressed, I'd not have noticed the frickin' ringworm.

I also wouldn't have had to undergo the sight of his 'nads peeking out at me either Rolling Eyes

Noticed at 10am that I had an appointment for a mammogram at 11.24am. Rushed to get there.

Woman on the desk hasn't got my name on her list, despite them having sent me the letter, which I showed her, with all the details.

And she's got that "Ain't fitting you in" look on her face.

Didn't really want to have my tits squished unpleasantly between two metal plates anyway, thanks v. much. Brick Wall

So I fucked off out of there a bit sharpish before they changed their mind Rolling Eyes
