With the 11kW and 25kW and now 35kW it's whatever the paperwork for that particular motorcycle says.
But beware, there is the power to weight ratio limit as well. Power to weight ratio has to be no more than 0.2kW/kg.
Also, the new rule is that the maximum power output, that you may still restrict to be A2 compliant is 70kW. So no more R1/ZX10R/Fireblade/TLR... on A2 licence. People are still selling liter bikes with 25kW in the paperwork. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

I can't find any contemporary manual or specs, but the chances of it actually being over 35kW now are vanishingly small. For licensing purposes, it's what the bike's actually making when you're riding it that matters.
Wikipedia's unsourced claim puts the Funduro well under the limit.
The ones you want to avoid are the F650GS (single) and the related X-bikes which all claimed over 35kW.
You could also consider the more recent G650GS which was designed to be bang on the A2 limit. Given that Funduro owners reckon their ancient hacks are still worth £2K, you won't have to pay much more for a far more recent machine with much the same engine. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
