Bit condescending.

I voted leave. Not from any particular aversion to the EU experiment, to be honest, its not done too badly, but, latterly, the cracks have started to show. It has expanded well beyond its original remit and in the process has begun to do more harm than good, (Greece as a specific example). |
Sounds like you're contradicting yourself.

It needed shaking up. The British political system has been long overdue for a reset. Far as I'm concerned, job done.
Pre referendum, nobody, not even the proposers had any real idea what they wanted and what would happen (in the event of a leave vote). The shock of rejection of the status quo has disrupted all the comfortable certainties. Even the thick bastards in the street have started to take notice.
We have looked over the edge of the precipice and its a long way down. If Alabama has come to its senses, maybe we can too...... |
Sounds like you want to go right back to where we were. Only we won't - the whole point of the referendum was to remove the anti-EU argument and clear the path for continued federalism. That's where it'll go, cracks and crumbling foundations included. |

Well, Roger..... Its not specifically Tories I'm aiming to upset, but you have to admit, there is a very unwholesome element within the public school set. All that screeches is not harridan. Men who use their position to force themselves on unwilling others (both genders) have a doubtful morality, I, for one, do not feel they are in any position to set the political agenda.
As to Alabama. I doubt the 'revelations' swayed many of them, most I've seen on TV interviews seem quite proud to have been sprogging at fourteen. I think its more than those of them not too deeply inbred have taken a look at their president and come to the logical conclusion.
As to the EU. OK, maybe our, eventual departure, probably, will give the PEOPLE of Europe something to consider. Even if the price of us leaving is some pretty gaping wounds, it will be worth the price just to upset the hegemony of Brussels. Already Merkel is floundering, the French have not exactly clasped their new leader to their bosoms and even the gimmee satellites are making ominous noises. The not unreasonable desire to control who is allowed into your country will be the undoing of the central control, its one edict too many. Cameron dismissed this, he paid the price. ____________________ The CBR900RR has been sold. Aprilia Falco worms its way into my heart.

If we're looking for entitled bourgeoisie who've never had to do a day's honest work in their lives, we could start with the Dear Leader of the "Labour" party.
It's OK though, #WeBelieveAllVictims, except the one who accused Clive Lewis. She's a lying slaaaag.
If you leap to the assumption that's a defence of the Tories, I'll be poised to correct you. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Sure, the State will provide, if you pledge allegiance to the State.
Hitler was a socialist. That's what they do.
We used to have a Tory party that wasn't socialistic.
Now? I don't really see that much difference among the LibLabCon Collective. Quarter of a percent tax here, a million more or less in subsidy there, it's just shades of red. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

This seems largely moot now since Parliament decided - and I think we should be honest about what this means - that they're going to reject any "deal" that Treasona pretends to have achieved.
Absent stringing the whole lot up from lamp-posts and starting over, we're not leaving the EU. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

The full plan, such as it is:
1) Do zero preparation for a no-deal result. Mission achieved by default.
2) Make a complete and utter hash of the "negotation" to produce a "deal" that's so bad that it makes Rainpal® look like a sure fire winner. In progress.
3) Parliament then get to say that they have no choice but to reject the "deal" at the 11th hour.
4) Leaving Treasona May free to say that, well, we can't leave either, because who would have predicted a rejection of the "deal"?
Oh, we'd love to leave, really we would, but nobody has any choice. We'll simply have to stay in / rejoin, don't you see? No other reasonable option is left.
So back we go, begging and pleading and offering anything in order to achieve:

And this Europhile Parliament and Europhile government will gnash their teeth and blame each other while weeping salty crocodile tears of triumph.
Strong and stable betrayal. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
