Hello,

Can anyone recommend a HDMI selector, ideally with at least 5 inputs.

I do have a cheap thing from ebay, but occasionally it loses it's input source and you have to press a button on it.

My TV has 4 HDMI

But I have :

Freeview box
PS4
Xbox One
Wii U
PS3
Amazon Fire TV stick

Santa is delivering a Nintendo Switch also. I have also thought about putting a SFF PC in the cabinet also.

(At a push, we could maybe retire the PS3).

Also, at some stage I will go 4K and it's even worse, lots of new 4K TVs only have 3 HDMI. (Though I know LG do, do ones with 4).

Surely there must be some other geeks who have this issue.

I don't mind paying a premium say of up to £30 - £40

Yep, 3 HDMI ports and TV stick, Xbox One, (HD) freeview box, PS3, Xbox 360. I only plug the latter two in when I (rarely) need to. Problem solved Smile

I've found the Neet stuff to be good, got a 5 into 1, works well.

You can get clones but I opted for the real thing.

Maybe the box records, few TVs do.

Also not all pick up freeview HD, mine doesn’t and it has 4 hdmi ports.

It's a BT Humax box, that records (wife!). I tried showing her ITV player/BBC Iplayer but she can't use consoles. She seriously just can't.

This, Freeview HD wasn't a thing when I got my TV. Also it has better software than the shite installed on the set (the guide never updates on the TV).

Yeah my TV was, What HifI 5 stars, about 6 years ago.

The smart TV functionality is now limited to say the least and I can't remember the last time I used it.

I think it has Freeview HD though.

I am sort of in the position, where I can't justify a 4K TV (It's not a money issue), but if the TV happened to stop working, then I would purchase. (Only issue I can see is most are on 50 or 60hz, whereas xbox one x will do up to 100). Though it would mean new TV/Xbox & Playstation. (We already have both upstairs, so literally no use).

Can anyone else vouch for the Neet box, or any other recommendations. (neet reviews do look good though on amazon).

I bought a cheap one from ebay for about treefiddy, self powered auto switching with three inputs and one out.

Works most of the time but have to press a button to switch sometimes, I think it's concerned for my health.

There are remote controlled ones but I didn't want another remote to lose.
