You keep saying i fucked changing a spark plug when said spark plug was 15 years old and seized in the head despite my best efforts (week of soaking it in plusgas) it snapped which is what I was half expecting anyway.

Though you know all that anyway but whatever makes you feel good.

At least he'll remember to put his chain adjusters back in

if you don't put the chain adjusters in your front sprocket will overheat and weld itself to the driveshaft Wink

Did you make a claim? Supposedly Ebay should refund you at the seller's expense if the goods are counterfeit.

I bought what I considered a fake one from m and p years ago,I had to adjust it every week,it constantly stretched, the one I had on my blade hardly needed touching on a bike with twice the power.

exactly the same reason i deemed my other fake, i adjust it every 40-50 miles with a scottoiler taking it easy... my last did i adjusted maybe once every 2 weeks or so, even commuting on the old chain it lasted longer, had about 3 months out of this one and the adjusters nearly at max

Did you change the sprockets at the same time... Or did you just use the old knackered ones...

Changed the lot, bought as a kit iirc, there was a rumour circulating at the time that fakes were about,I changed it in the end,the blade never needed doing in the 6 years I had it.

Bottom line, don't buy chains from fleabay unless it's from a well known store who has an ebay shop.

What should be noted is you live near the coast. Do you clean the chain or just lube it? Lube plus crust = grindy grindy.

Laughing Laughing

Look at the state of that! Have you ever cleaned and lubed it at all in the 3k or just left it up to the Scottoiler? Even a proper DID will struggle with that lack of care.

Doesn't look fake from the listing IMO, the one you've bought to replace it would also seem to be of a higher spec.

DID just like any other decent chain maker do a variety of chain specs at a variety of price points.
